Lake Ann

Shortly after we all got back from our 4th of July trip to South Dakota, mommy took me to one of my favorite parks, but this time she took me down to the lake. With all my water issues ((don't even mention the word pool around me, I'll freak out...)) mommy wasn't sure how I would like all the sand. But I LOVED IT!!! I ran in and out of the water, threw sand around and even got to play with some friends. Mommy says we are all set to go back soon and make this our new favorite summer hangout. I love Lake Ann!!

4th of July

Well.....we're home from our annual 4th of July trip to South Dakota and I'm just now getting around to talking about it. There's just so much going on and we were so tired ((and mommy and me got a little sick once we got home)) that I have to rest a few days before I could post it. I sure had a fun time at grandma & papa's farm even though it was very hot and humid out. But I got to see and play with all my cousin's and mommy said I took 4 straight days worth of VERY long naps once we got home so I must have been tired. Now I'm back into my routine of school, going to the lake and playing outside!! So even though it's late we hope you had a good 4th!!

It's a little hard to see them but there's daddy, Uncle Brad, Uncle Tim and Uncle Ed all lighting fireworks off on the 4th. I was already in bed but mommy took this picture.

Our 2nd night there we all went out to eat, all 18 of us, to celebrate papa's birthday. Here's my cousin Nikki and I heading into Famous Daves.

The big project everyone worked on was the tearing down of the old garage on papa's farm. My Uncle Brad came out with his big loader to help it go faster. I was a little scared of it but when it was shut off, he let me and daddy sit in it. As mommy says, it's my version of winning the lottery.

Catching Up

Well........there's a lot of catching up to do. Mommy says between the rainy/cold weather, everyone getting a summer cold, Father's Day, daddy working A LOT of hours, that we just haven't had the time or motivation to post. That and mommy says I'm becoming a very busy little guy and that it might be time to make some changes to my blog soon.

We've had a busy couple of weeks with a few pictures to share. I had my first slumber party with my friend Henry. Then it was Father's Day weekend and mommy and I worked hard on a project for daddy. Summer school started so I have that once a week, mommy got real sick and had to go to the doctor, bad weather had me worried I might have to spend the night in the basement and now we're packing for our annual 4th of July trip to South Dakota. With all this running around mommy says I've been sleeping in later and later every day, which is fine with her, but I still have all my energy. So here's hoping you all have a good 4th and we'll see you when I get back!

Como Zoo

On Wednesday of this week mommy and I went with some other mommies and kids to Como Zoo. I had never been here before and mommy said she hadn't been in a very, very long time. I got a little overwhelmed because there were A LOT of people there. So many people in fact that the few times that mommy let me walk around didn't last long and I was the one willing to go back in my stroller. But we still got to walk around and see a lot of animals, have a good lunch and then head home. Mommy says she and daddy will be taking me back so I can ride on some of the toddler size rides at the amusement park area right by the zoo. Which I'm really excited for because I already noticed the train they have. I can't wait!!!!

Family Reunion

This past Saturday was mommy's family reunion. She said it was important to go because the last reunion they had was back in 1992!! We just went for the day and even though it was raining and I couldn't play outside, it was sure nice to get out and meet some new family. I had fun playing and talking with everyone and I was sure tired. I didn't sleep on the way home though, Auntie Chelle and I were having too much fun in the back seat. But mommy said I didn't make any noise when I went to sleep and I ended up sleeping an extra hour the next morning. I can't for the next one!!

Of course we brought my scooter which was really fun to ride inside.

Memorial Weekend

Mommy, daddy and I spent Memorial Weekend at home just the three of us and it was perfect!! Mommy says we weren't going to go anywhere and we just spent time relaxing. On Saturday Grandma, Papa and Auntie Chelle came over for a BBQ, but I had a date that afternoon with my friend Zara. She lives across the street and she invited me over to try her pool for the first time. Although I wasn't about to get in the water ((mommy says we're having bathtub issues and I refuse to take a bath with any sort of toy)) I did have fun playing and visiting. On Sunday & Monday we just hung out and went for walks and mommy and daddy took me to two different parks to play that are close to my house. All in all it was a very relaxing weekend and we hope you had the same!!

Shopping for Rose

Last week mommy and I were out and about and mommy said we needed to go shopping for Rose. I got really excited because I love shopping for Rose. It means we go to my favorite store, Petco!!! And on this day mommy just happened to have her camera with her and she said it was okay to take a few pictures:

Mommy said the little carts are why I love coming here so much. Mommy says if she ever finds one for sale she might buy it. I just love pushing these around!

Of course a trip is never complete without looking at all the fish.

Let's Go Fly A Kite!!

This past weekend it was really windy out. But that didn't bother me because I was just excited to get to play outside and not watch it rain. Mommy said it was perfect kite flying weather and she just happened to have a kite for me to try and fly. I was very determined to fly it myself and I did not want any help. It sure is hard to fly a kite, but after a few tries I think I did pretty well!!
