Al Bundy, Who???

Mommy's Post -This post is a little different as it's coming from me, Nolan's mom, and not from Nolan. This afternoon was difficult because within a 30 minute time period Nolan threw crayons at the cat, at me and then proceeded to color using 3 different crayons all over my couch. Knowing I needed some time apart from my lovely, adorable and now artistic son, I put him down for his afternoon nap a little early. After picking up all the crayons ((which we will now be hiding for a while)) and trying to remove crayon from my couch, I came up to check on Nolan and found him asleep.........like this.

Yes.........my son is doing the reverse Al Bundy. I guess whatever you need to do to sleep, you do. Just please not in public. **Sigh.........**

My New Book

Mommy says one of the happiest days of her life was today. No, it's not really a special day, but mommy says it will be one to remember. While mommy was folding clothes this afternoon I was playing in the closet with books mommy has in there. She went into the bathroom to put towels away while she was in there, I came out with my chosen book, climbed onto the bench then onto mommy & daddy's bed and began to read my book. When mommy looked to see which book I had she squealed with delight. Yes, that would be Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. Not the first book in the series, but nevertheless, mommy said she couldn't be happier and this just means were one step closer to her reading them to me. ((And of course waiting for my owl mail to appear one day.))

Mommy's Note: Yes, he seriously laid on the bed, on his stomach and flipped though the pages for several minutes. Right when I took the top picture he rolled over and started laughing. I might start reading them to him next week. I'm so tired of Farmer Mickey and Big Red Barn I could puke.

Karna & The Mustard Seed

Yesterday mommy's very, very, very best friend Karna came over for a visit. Karna lives far away in Seattle so she and mommy don't get to see each other often. But Karna was here visiting her parents and she drove all the way over to see me! I took to her right away and was very happy that she read my favorite book to me. Mommy says we will miss her a bunch, and that maybe we need to go to Seattle to visit her next!

And earlier today mommy, daddy and I went to a gardening place called The Mustard Seed. Mommy and daddy wanted to look at plants because they were having a big sale. But they also had animals, food, games and lots of other fun things to play with and look at.

They had a table that was just my size with all kinds of blocks to play with.

Rows and rows of trees for me to run in between.

Animals to pet.

And great big Koi fish to look at!! ((See me pulling at my shoe? I wanted to swim in the water with the fish.))

Water Rewards

Today mommy, Auntie Chelle and I went to the splash pad so I could play in the water. Mommy says it was my reward for being so good yesterday when we had family pictures taken for over two hours. It was warm outside at the splash pad but I was still a little chilly because it was windy so we went inside and I got to go swimming for the very first time. I wasn't sure what to think and since mommy couldn't have the camera in the water I don't have pictures to share. I was a little scared and wanted mommy to be right next to me but I sure figured out how to kick my legs and I was soon having fun. But I think I might want to go swimming in my own pool for a while instead.

Splashing in the water, my favorite thing to do. ((Just don't get it in my eyes!!))

Going down the slide, hold on tight Auntie Chelle!

Whee!!!!

All dried off and ready to go home.

I'll Do It Myself

I like to do a lot of things on my own now without mommy and daddy's help. So today I decided I was big enough to do my own Nebulizer treatments. Mommy and daddy always lifted me up on their laps as we watched Blues Clues together and I held the mask over my nose and mouth. Well today it was time to do it myself. So as mommy was setting everything up I climbed up into the recliner with my loveys and reached for the mask. Mommy sat next to me on the floor but I didn't need her help and she only had to tell me twice to put the mask back on. So I watched Blues Clues and mommy got to read the paper. What a way to start the day!

Just hanging out.

I think I'm going to have a bad hair day.

Just relaxing and singing to Blues Clues.

Saturday at the Cabin

On Saturday morning mommy, daddy and I loaded our car and headed north to Rush City to spend the night with our good friends Jamie, Nate and my good friend Maddy at their family cabin. It didn't quite turn out that way though. We got up there just fine and I had a blast playing with Maddy's toys, showing her how to color, playing with their puppy and looking at the lake. When it came time for me to take a nap though I wasn't happy about that and cried when I got put down. Mommy said after 15 minutes I made a screaming noise that wasn't usual and when she went to get me I had broken out in hives all over my face. So a big dose of Benadryl is what I got, then some lunch and finally I was able to sleep. Mommy and daddy meanwhile ate their lunch; daddy did some fishing while mommy took in the sun. Later that night when we were getting ready for dinner, daddy and I were playing when he noticed I had broken out in hives again all over my face and also my arms. Mommy and daddy felt very bad but knew that we couldn't stay since I kept breaking out. Mommy says it was something in the air and we needed to go home. So we repacked the car and home we came. I got a quick bath to get everything off and mommy spent all yesterday washing everything and we were all tired. I sure wanted to stay up at the cabin and go for my first boat ride, but mommy says maybe next summer we can try again to see how I do. Ah......such the life for me!!

Playing with Maddy's tunnel. Her grandma found this at a garage sale for a dollar!! Mommy says she needs one.

"Okay Maddy, when I say go, open the door and let's make a run for it."

Daddy and me taking a walk on the dock.

I wanted to stay and try to jump in the water, it's the biggest bathtub I've ever seen!

Maddy and mommy were talking about me while I was still sleeping.

If you look real close you can see the fish daddy caught!! Way to go daddy!!!

This is Jessica, mommy says she's known her all her life. She was a VERY nice puppy to play with.

The last picture before we had to go......just two peas in a pod!

Dancing to Billy Jean

I've been hearing a lot of talk about someone named Michael Jackson lately. I'm not sure what it's all about but daddy says he was someone very important who wrote a lot of music and could dance really well. Since I'm all about dancing these days I wanted to watch him so mommy found a channel that was playing all of his music. I watched him dance and in no time at all I was dancing like him. Well.....not quite, but everyone has to start somewhere!!

4th Of July

Well, I'm back from South Dakota and glad to be home. Mommy and daddy said I did really well in the car but I really just wanted to get out and run. I think the best part was getting to have my first happy meal when we stopped for lunch. I think that might have been my favorite part. Of course I also got to visit with my cousins, play with grandma and grandpa and see my Aunts and Uncles. Mommy said we were sure busy and it went by too fast. I can't wait until next year!! ((Maybe I'll actually get to see some fireworks then....))

My absolutely FAVORITE thing right now is to color. Grandma had this huge roll of paper I got to to color on.

Here I am coloring with my cousin Autumn.

Me and my Uncle Brad.

Playing outside with Daddy on the 4th.

WHAT???....I need to quit eating all those snacks.

Grandma said not to post this but I couldn't resist! I love dancing with grandma.
