Playing in the Snow

On Christmas I got to get dressed in all my snow-gear and head outside to play. I wasn't so sure about putting all these layers of clothes on, but once I got outside I sure had fun! Mommy said the fresh air did all of us good and it was warm enough where I could be outside for more than a few minutes. I helped daddy shovel the driveway and he showed me how to make snowballs. I can't wait to go out again!!

We also hope everyone has a safe and Happy New Years. We are heading to South Dakota tomorrow for our second attempt to spend Christmas/New Years with my grandma and grandpa. We'll be gone until next week so I guess we'll see you all next year!

Getting dressed, are all these clothes really necessary?
My big smiling face, I'm so happy to be out!

Mommy took a picture of the front of our house to show that the snow is up to our porch.

Using my "shovel" to help daddy shovel the driveway.

Shovel, shovel, shovel.....and I'm not making a dent!

Maybe I can just flatten the snow out instead.

My first snowball.

Home for Christmas

Well, we tried. Mommy, daddy and I tried going to South Dakota for Christmas but we didn't make it. In fact, I was only in the car an hour and before I knew it we were home again! We left a day and a half before this big snowstorm hit and drove about 30 miles before daddy said we hit something called black ice and passed several cars in the ditch. So a decision was made to turn around and home we came. So instead, we'll be heading to South Dakota this week to spend New Years with grandma and grandpa. Mommy, daddy and I all had fun spending a long weekend snowed in together. Even though I got sick, I still had fun and got to open my presents. Yesterday we went to my grandma and papa's for Christmas ((pictures coming soon)) and I get another Christmas later this week. Mommy said she's not sure where all this stuff is going to go, but I'm sure having fun playing with everything!

Opening my presents Christmas morning, I'm getting pretty good with this unwrapping thing.

Sooooooooo excited about my blocks!!!

Um, I'm not sure what I'm doing in this picture......probably yelling or something for daddy to open a toy for me.

The rest of my train set that goes with my table, I can't wait for it to be put together!

Well.....it's almost put together. Mommy says it's a lot harder than it looks.

The snow is up to the swings on my swing set!!

Um.........Rose does not want to go outside. I don't know why, I already played in it and had fun!

Making our list

Well, we're making our list and checking it twice. Which means we're getting ready to head to my grandma & grandpa's in South Dakota. I haven't been out there for a while so I'm excited to see them. There's no pictures to go along with this post as mommy says the camera is already packed. So we hope everyone has a wonderful & safe Christmas and we'll be back soon!! Happy Holiday's!!!

Birthday & Zoo

Today is my birthday and I turned two!! I had my birthday party last weekend but mommy and daddy wanted to celebrate and do something special today, so they took me for my first trip to the zoo. I had so much fun that mommy & daddy decided to just become members so that I can go back any time I want. I ran all over and saw fish, monkeys, wolves, birds, and more. My favorite part was the big fish area called Discovery Bay. I was able to spend a lot of time there which was good because there was so much to look at. Mommy said she will make sure and take me back there soon and I can't wait. This was the best birthday present ever!!!

Looking at the dolphins, they were so big and swam really close to me.

"Look!!! There's a dolphin right there!!"

I need to get up close and personal with this fish.

Checking out more animals, mommy doesn't remember what we were looking at.

This is a red panda, mommy really liked them.

Walking outside on the Minnesota Trail, there were wolves here but we didn't stay long because it was cold & mommy and daddy didn't have their coats with.

Then I got to go to the souvenir shop and pick out something fun. What did I get? Trucks of course....

Santa was there to see me, I wasn't too sure about all this Santa business, but I did get an ornament out of the deal.

The lunch where I ate mommy's pickle, in fact I ate two pickles. One for each year old I am!!

And after a long day I couldn't even stay awake to check out my toy. I fell asleep minutes after we left. I'm dreaming about going back again!

Trains, Trains & Trains

Lately I've been all about trains, probably because I got a really neat train table for my birthday and I've been pushing all my new trains over it. So today mommy got out some trains that I got last year for my birthday. Mommy thought I was too young to play with them at that time, but she kept them safe and today we brought them out to play with. I couldn't wait for mommy to get them all set up. She kept connecting the tracks and then had to find batteries to make the train go. And when she finally turned it on........I hated it. I cried and cried because it was very loud and it scared me. So mommy put the tracks away, took the batteries out and just let me play with the trains which was fine by me. I had fun all afternoon pushing them around the floor and trying to get them connected. Choo, choo!!!!!

Here I am helping mommy get the trains out of the box.

And helping to set the tracks up.

And after they turned on and I hated it, mommy just let me play with them on my table which was much better.

You really have to concentrate when pushing them around.

YEA!! All connected and ready to go.

Birthday Party

This past Saturday was my birthday party. ((Even though my birthday isn't until this Saturday.)) In reality it was my very first birthday party because my first birthday party I spent in the hospital so it was cancelled. It was SOOOO much fun that I think mommy and daddy should have one every weekend. Even though mommy was sick and had to go to the doctor twice, she still managed to have everything decorated with my favorite Blues Clues stuff. There was all kinds of food out and everything was stuff I could eat and all my favorite people in the world came. It was so much fun and I can't wait to do it all over again next year. Mommy can't wait either and is hoping that next year she isn't sick.

Some of the decorations that mommy and Auntie Chelle hung up.

My egg-free cupcakes!! And do you think mommy got a picture of me eating one?? NO!!! Mommy forgot to take any pictures, but she says I only had a few bites because I was much more interested in playing.

My new fire truck from grandma and papa.

My sled that my friend Maddy got for me. I had to test Blue and Elmo out on it first before I climbed on.

Hurry up daddy, can't you open these any faster??

My friend Henry is checking out my new puzzle

My new train table from mommy and daddy. I LOVE driving all my cars and trucks all over it. ((And mommy says there just might be some more pieces coming for Christmas...))

Happy Birthday!!

Let's get out!!

This past weekend was just a weekend for mommy and me. Daddy had to go to South Dakota because his grandma, my great-grandma had passed away. I of course had gotten sick and mommy and daddy felt that it would be too much for me so mommy and I stayed home. We had been stuck in the house for several days and by Saturday I was much better and mommy said we needed to get out. So we went to my Auntie Chelle's for dinner. Actually, we had a special dinner of McDonald's which is a huge treat for me and had a picnic on her floor. It was so nice to get out of the house and this was the first time I had seen Auntie Chelle's new house. We ate and played and I ran off some energy which was needed mommy says. I sure had fun and can't wait to go back again!! Thanks Auntie Chelle!!

Here I am eating my chicken nuggets on the floor. This was so much fun!!

Me and Auntie Chelle playing after dinner.
My action shot.
Then Auntie Chelle showed me some of her pictures. I love to look at pictures but I didn't recognize mommy in this one, she had REALLY short hair.

Playing with Lego's on the floor.

I Gotta Feeling

I am sick once again and it stinks!! Mommy said she hopes this isn't how our winter is going to be because I was just sick less than 2 weeks ago! So I'm at home trying to get better and yesterday mommy pulled out her laptop and let me watch my favorite video. It's not quite what you think but I gotta feeling it's going to make me feel better soon!

Neighborhood Lunch

Yesterday mommy, daddy and I were invited over to our neighbors across the street for lunch. Mommy and daddy were excited to have a chance to visit with them and I was excited to go over and play. We all had a real fun time and mommy says now we will be inviting them over to our house soon. Thanks for the lunch Pete & Jocelyn!

Here I am playing with their daughter Zara, she's showing me how to make music.

She also let me play with this firetruck which was real fun.

But I let her play with two trucks I brought over as well, I think she liked this one because it makes music.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!! I hope everyone had as fun a day as I did. Mommy said for the first time in about four years, we did not have Thanksgiving at our house and she said it was a nice break. Instead, we went to my cousins who live in the same town as grandma and papa and had Thanksgiving there. Grandma said she was going to host but with her knee surgery she said it wasn't a good idea, so she and papa came just for dinner and then went home. I of course was too excited, didn't nap and could hardly eat anything. But it was still a great day!! Mommy says we're thankful that we have family to spend the day with and that we got to see everyone. We hope your Thanksgiving was just as fun!!

Here's Auntie Chelle and me in the car on the way over. We're singing along to songs.

Daddy with my cousins Shanelle and Carlie.

Playing with Haily and Logan. Logan is actually playing catch with daddy, I wasn't too sure about that.

Everyone's waiting to eat!!

Yummy turkey and stuffing.....I didn't eat much but mommy said I tried it all and it was good!

Still playing.......

Oh, and this Christmas tree was up and I had to check out all the lights.

Back at grandpa and papa's and changed for the ride home. Papa found this old school desk to have. I climbed right up and had fun driving my cars on the top.

Mommy says she wishes this were longer but this is the neighbor right across the street from grandma and papa. Papa says their 14 year old son sets the lights to the music. Mommy says we will get a longer video and post it later. The lights were so fun to watch!!!!
