More Outdoor Fun

The weather was so nice again today, in fact warmer than the last time I got to go outside, that mommy and daddy decided to let me play outside for a few minutes. Mommy got me bundled up in two layers of pants and shirts and put my coat, hat & mittens on and outside I went! This time was much better because daddy was here to play outside with me while mommy took pictures. Daddy and I walked up and down the street, I played with snow and just enjoyed being outside. Spring.....are you here yet?

I'm so happy to be out in the sun!

Daddy and I are walking down the street. I didn't fall once on the ice!

Time to go inside and warm up.

This is sure a steep driveway for me to walk up, but I made it!! You can even hear me kind of say "hi".

New Foods

I've recently gotten to try some new foods which has been fun for me. Shortly after mommy, daddy and I got back from South Dakota we found out that I am allergic to all nuts and eggs. I had to be tested after I had my allergic reaction the day after my birthday. Mommy said she kind of knew I would be allergic to nuts, but the egg one she said was hard to hear. Mommy says you can't begin to believe the number of foods that eggs are in. So because of the issues with possible food allergies, mommy and daddy had been slow to introduce me to some new ones. ((That and the fact that daddy says I have the worst gag reflex ever and that I choke on everything.)) But I've recently been able to have some new foods and of course mommy had to get it on tape. Next month I get to go see someone called an Allergist. Daddy says they are hopefully going to answer a lot of questions he and mommy have, and I might have to be tested for more allergies. But in the meantime, keep the new foods coming cause I sure seem to like them!!

This one is of me eating part of a banana.

Here I am tonight eating some pears. I know, not the most exciting foods, but it's a start for me!!

Playing in the Snow

This afternoon since it was warm outside ((for us it was, it was 32 out!!)) mommy & I went and put gas in her car and got it washed. I wasn't sure about this whole washing business, it was sure strange to see these big sponges all over mommy's car. When we got home mommy said I should get a few minutes of fresh air so she let me walk on the sidewalk. It was sure nice to be outside and to get my first close look at what snow is. I walked on the sidewalk a little and then fell right into the snow and played with it for a few minutes. But I got wet and then we came inside. Mommy says we only have a few more months of snow left and then I can play outside all the time. I wish Spring were here now!

It's sure nice to be outside!!

Now covered in snow it's time to go inside.

Mommy says this might not be the best video cause you only get to see my face for a few seconds. Every time mommy tried to get my face in the video I would turn the other way, there's just so much to look at!!

Pushing Elmo

This weekend when mommy and I were visiting grandma and papa mommy bought an inexpensive stroller for me. She says it's to use if we travel somewhere far as my other stroller is so big it would take up the whole trunk. Mommy says she got a great deal on it and couldn't pass it up. It doesn't matter to me how much it cost, I just know I sure have fun playing with it!! Today I decided to take Elmo for a walk in it. I pushed Elmo all over the house with mommy following me of course. I just wish all this white stuff would go away so I could take Elmo outside and push him! Mommy says soon, but in the meantime, I can just push him around the house!

Mommy also wanted to say that this past Friday was my sister Rose's birthday. With daddy being gone mommy says she is very forgetful this week and she completely forgot to have me mention it! I know some people might think it's weird to celebrate Rose's birthday, but she is part of my family and deserves a day too! So Happy Birthday Rose!

Busy Busy!!

I've been so busy the last few days I haven't had time to update my blog! So I'm taking some time to share what I've been up too. Daddy is away in Florida for a few days so it's just been mommy and me. Mommy says it's really hard to get everything done when it's just her so we are sure ready for daddy to come home! So because it's just the two of us mommy decided we needed to go and visit my grandma and papa at their new house. We hadn't been since they had moved back so it was time for a visit. So mommy and I went for the weekend and had all sorts of fun. I got to play with their kitty, open and shut doors and best of all, play with papa on the computer. So here's what I've been up too!

Playing with the doors, this was my favorite thing to do.
This was mommy & Auntie Chelle's rocking chair when they were my age. ((That's my lovie in my mouth, I can't go anywhere without him and I wouldn't put him down for this picture.))

Playing a computer game with papa!

Playing with the doors and then trying to get to the kitty. I shook the gate all weekend and it never moved. ((The kitty remained in the basement until I left.))

Walkin' Tough

I've been walking for a few weeks now but taking only ten or so steps and then I sit down and crawl. Mommy says it's because I think I can get somewhere faster by crawling. Last week I really started walking a lot more but then I had a little accident. I was walking from our living room into the kitchen and I fell right where our carpet and hardwood floors come together. Mommy first thought I had hit my forehead as I hit pretty hard. But when she picked me up I had actually fallen on my mouth and ended up cutting my lip and my gums. I was over it pretty quickly although I didn't walk for a day or so. But now I'm right back to it but mommy and daddy will tell you I am much slower and take very tiny steps. Here are a couple of video's of me walking! ((On the second one, mommy wants me to point out that I have FINALLY started to say "mama." She has been working with me on it for weeks and after only saying "dada or daddy" I have finally started saying "mama"!!))

Fun with Friends

On Saturday mommy, daddy and I along with grandma and papa drove to see our good friends Chuck, Karen and Karna. Mommy and Karna have known each other for almost 25 years and Karna was in their wedding. Mommy also told me that Chuck was the person that married mommy and daddy as well which is very special. Karna lives in Seattle which mommy says is very far away so she doesn't get to see her much. Karna last saw me when I was just a few weeks old and since I had grown a lot I had to show off. We sure had fun visiting with them but soon it was time for me to go as I was getting very tired and was ready for a long nap. But here are some pictures to remember our special visit by!

Daddy and I playing at the top of the steps, I love to climb them!

I'm playing in Karen's curtains. Mommy doesn't have curtains so these were sure fun to play with.

Here I am with Karna and Karen. I brought my pop-up Sesame Street toy to them so they could play with it. ((Really, I just wanted to go up the stairs.))

Saying goodbye to Karna, we will miss you!

CPR Steps

Elmo and I were playing in Fort Nolan yesterday when suddenly Elmo became sick. I rushed him outside where I promptly began giving him CPR in hopes to revive him. Mommy was right there with the camera to shoot a video for insurance purposes. Happily Elmo survived and after a brief rest, we were able to continue playing. Since we don't need the video now for insurance, I am using it in hopes to help others learn CPR. You can also follow these easy steps:

  1. Shake individual and move them around to ensure they are not breathing.
  2. Panic for a second throwing your hands in the air.
  3. Regain control and press on individuals chest hard to make them breath.
  4. Clap hands in joy as individual laughs, they might be alright!
  5. Double check their breathing and if necessary, place hands in proper place to press on chest again.
  6. If pushing on chest doesn't work, throw them on the ground making sure to focus on head. This is sure to work in bringing individual back to life.

Back To School

Today was my first day back to school with mommy. This fall I got to go to school once a week and sure had fun so mommy decided we would do a class this winter as well. At least I can get out of the house and play even if it is cold outside! There are some new kids in my class as well as two boys who were in my last class. I immediately remembered the toys, kitchen and jungle gym I played with so much before. It's good to be back in school! ((Mommy hopes I will always be this happy about going to school.))

Taking a stroll with the grocery cart. Mommy and I do this a lot so I'm pretty good at picking things out.
"Okay, I've bought everything so now what should I make?"

Crawling on the jungle gym, mommy was trying to get me to go through the tunnel.

Oh how I love to play with these cell phones, if only mommy would let me play with hers!!

South Dakota

Welcome to 2009! Since I was gone all last week visiting my grandma and grandpa in South Dakota I missed wishing everyone a Happy New Year so I hope you had a good one! I sure had a busy week. Mommy, daddy and I left really early last Monday and drove to my grandma's and grandpa's. The best part of that day was being able to stop and visit my friend Beckett. Even though his mommy wasn't there, she invited us to stop and rest for a while. So I got to meet Beckett's Aunt Rissa and her two kids Kaden & Mateo It was sure nice being able to get out of the car for a while so thank you for letting me eat and play!

While in South Dakota last week, I got to visit my great-grandma for the first time which was real fun. She lives in this place that last the longest hallways I'd ever seen. Since everyone wanted to visit and I wanted to test out these hallways, I just took my walker and off I went! So after a busy week of seeing cousin's and aunts & uncles I was ready to come home and sleep in my own bed. So very early yesterday morning mommy, daddy and I once again got up and headed home. I was ready to play with all my new (and old) toys and see my sister Rose, but sad to leave as well. It was sure nice to see everyone and I miss you lots already. Thank you for letting me play and we wish you well in 2009!

Playing at Beckett's house, he sure has a lot of fun stuff! Can you tell I'm excited to be out of the car?
Beckett's having a snack.....he and mommy are playing peek-a-boo

Me and Beckett....it's the meeting of the minds.

Playing with my cousin's Charles and Nikki.

Racing my great-grandma to her room. I loved these hallways!!

Posing for a picture with great-grandma. It was her Birthday as well this day, can you believe she is 97!!

Playing at grandma's, I sure liked this play kitchen, I got to cook a lot.

Me and my Uncle Ed

I miss you grandma and grandpa!!
