Weekend Fun
On Saturday mommy, daddy and I went to see my friend Maddy and her mommy & daddy. I hadn't seen her in a while so it was fun to catch up. Daddy was fixing their computer for them and we brought it back. I got to try out her high chair and play with some of her toys. I was so worn out from all this visiting that on Sunday daddy and I hung out and watched football together. But it was good to see my friends and catch up!

Growing Up
This week has been a week of new things for me. First, I have started standing on my own for short periods of time. Usually it's when I'm helping mommy load dishes into the dishwasher and as she closes the dishwasher I hold onto it until I can't reach any more and then I'm standing! This morning I was helping mommy and I think I stood for about 12 seconds before I sat down.
Now mommy is starting to adjust my meals to get me to try new foods, and today I got to have whole milk for the first time, and boy did I like it!! Mommy wasn't sure if I would like it or not so she bought the smallest container of whole milk she could find. She put some in my sippy cup and I drank it all! ((Now mommy says we need to work on my gag reflex so I can start eating other foods.)) I now also get some soft baby "crackers" as mommy says, with each meal and those are really good now too.
Lastly, I'm continuing to walk a lot more now. I think I now understand the concept of shoes because they sure help me walk better on mommy's floors. I make laps around the kitchen and living room all day. It's so much fun to walk!! Mommy has a lot of videos of me walking and I wanted to share one, enjoy!

24 Hours of Change
Yesterday was a day of changes mommy says we will never forget. Daddy took the day off so that both he and mommy could go and vote. Daddy went early in the morning and mommy went later in the afternoon. While I can't yet vote and don't understand the meaning of needing 270 electoral votes to win, exit polling, debates, absentee ballots, Republican or Democratic, mommy & daddy say it's a day that changed America.
I feel lucky to live in a place where in 18 years I will have the opportunity to vote and possibly make the history making changes that took place yesterday. To know that one day, a little boy from Chaska, Minnesota could become a Senator or maybe even President of the United States makes me feel proud.
Twenty-four hours ago a change took place, a change that will live in the lives of every person in America for years to come. Twenty-four hours ago a new chapter in American history was written and I can't wait to one day read the book and learn about the great changes and new direction our country will be heading in.
Whether you are Republican or Democratic, we are all one and united. A new direction is being formed with new people leading us into the future. It's a future that will be filled with questions, hopes and dreams, but most of all it's a future of change. It's a future I'm excited to learn about and learn from.

Making Kisses
Since mommy is home with me all day long I try and copy a lot of what she says and does during the day. I like to play in the kitchen with her and help her open cupboards and make things. I try to help her clean and do laundry, but my favorite thing is to copy the faces that mommy makes at me. Today mommy and I were playing and she made kissing sounds with her lips and said for me to make kisses. I immediately figured out what she was doing and copied her. Mommy ran and got the camera and took some video's of me "making kisses." I don't know but I think it's pretty cute!
**On a side note, mommy and daddy says they hope everyone got a chance to get out and vote on what will be a historical election. We hope everyone took the opportunity to vote and make your voice heard!!**
