Mommy's Cross-Stitch

Mommy knows how to cross-stitch and she she made me one of my very own! Mommy said she bought this one shortly after she found out she was pregnant with me and she started working on it & finished it soon after I was born. She said the hardest part was putting my hand prints on it. She and daddy and to go it together and they didn't do it until I was about four months old. Mommy got it framed and hung it up in my room. She says this is also special because it's the first big cross-stitch she has made that she has kept, all the others she gave as gifts. I am very happy that she worked so hard on it and it's something that I can have for a long time to come!

Fun With Friends

On Sunday mommy, daddy and I went over to our friends Jamie & Nate's house. They just had a baby two weeks ago and mommy and daddy brought them dinner. Even though I wasn't feeling good mommy said I was a good sport and I had fun. They took a lot of pictures of me with baby Madeline. I don't know....I thought she was pretty cute!!

So Much Better...

I'm feeling so much better today, much better than I was earlier this week. I didn't have to go to the doctor on Tuesday because the prune juice did it's thing! Mommy says she is very happy because she was afraid we'd have to try other "remedies" and she didn't want too. So now I'm back on track and back to playing. I missed playing in my Jumperoo and so yesterday afternoon I was up for playing in it again and boy did I have fun!

Under the Weather...

Today I'm not feeling good. In fact, I haven't felt good all weekend. Mommy and daddy say I am constipated. I'm not sure what that means but I just know it doesn't make me feel good. They've been giving me prune juice to hopefully make me feel better. And mommy says to top everything else I have a raging case of diaper rash. I just know that when my diaper is changed, which has been a lot today because of the prune juice, I scream when she puts medicine on me. So mommy and daddy have been holding me and trying to make me feel a lot better. I am so tired and off schedule that when mommy came in to take this picture, she had just put me down not a minute before. I just fell right asleep. Tomorrow, mommy is waking up early to call my doctor and have me seen. I wish we could have gone today but everything was closed. Until then, I'll just stick close to mommy and daddy in hopes I can feel better soon.

Giggling & Rolling Over

Mommy has been really busy the last few days painting the house for my baptism so she says she hasn't been as good about posting on my blog lately, but we're gonna fix that she says!! She's been taking a lot of video's of me lately & I wanted to share some. This first one is of me laughing which mommy says is the best thing ever. I'm on the floor laughing (notice the Vikings outfit and my missing sock...) at mommy while she dangles some rings above me. When she takes them away really quickly, I think it's so funny! The second one is of me rolling over, I do it all the time now and mommy finally got it on tape.

Mommy also thinks I am trying to start to crawl. Lately when I've been on my tummy I curl my knees up under me. But then I don't know what to do so I go back to being on my tummy. Pretty soon mommy!!!

Whose a Kicker?

"Whose a kicker?" That's what mommy & daddy say to me all the time. I never sit still. I jump & kick my legs in my Jumperoo, kick in my bed, kick on the changing table, kick in my car seat. I'm just always on the go! Mommy says she knows I will not learn to walk first, but that one day I will just start running and I won't stop. Mommy took some video of me this past weekend in my crib showing my legs moving non-stop. She doesn't know if I will be a swimmer or a runner, but she's sure I'll be fast at whatever I do!

5 Months

Today is my five month birthday! Mommy and daddy can't believe how fast time has gone by and that I am already five months old! Mommy and daddy were remembering when they first brought me home and how tiny I was and how I slept all the time, and they didn't, and how they were trying to figure everything out and now it's smooth sailing!! ((Again...mommy hopes this cereal thing will be smooth sailing soon!))

Mommy took some pictures of me this morning next to a measuring tape to see how long I am. She says she doesn't believe in owing a scale to know what weight she is not, so she doesn't know how heavy I am. Daddy thinks I am close to 18 lbs, if not heavier. And according to the measuring tape, I'm about 28 inches long. Mommy says I'm still tall and skinny like daddy!

Sweater Pics - Take Two!

A few weeks ago on a day that it was rainy, which seems like every day lately, mommy and I played dress up again. She put me in more sweaters that people made for me. Mommy says I was much more cooperative this time than the last time we took pictures. She was able to make all sorts of funny faces and sounds and I laughed a lot and she got some good pictures!

My Aunt Mickey had a friend made this sweater set for me. I think I like the hat!

Bath Time

I don't mind bath time all that much, and that's a good thing. Because of the issues with my skin mommy and daddy have to give me a bath every other night and put all this stuff in the bath water so I don't itch and scratch. My bathtub is set up in mommy and daddy's bathroom up on their counter. It's right in front of their mirror and I love to splash water and watch my reflection. But mommy says it's a chore! She and daddy always have to put an old t-shirts on because I kick the water with my legs and make a big mess. It's fun though!! Rubber duckie your the one....you make bath time so much fun!!

Tummy Time

I like tummy time a lot more than I used too. Mommy said that trying to get me to have tummy time just a few weeks ago was not an easy task. But now that I can look around and play with things it isn't so bad!! ((Mommy hopes I will have the same reaction soon when it comes to eating cereal....)) Mommy took a bunch of pictures yesterday with me having tummy time. Mommy tried several times to get a video of me rolling over but she says I wouldn't cooperate when she got the camera out. She says we'll try to get one soon!!

Laughter is the best Medicine

Mommy came home from her trip to Texas on Monday night and daddy and I were sure glad to see her! Daddy said I got off schedule a little so he was glad mommy was home to get me back on track. Mommy and I spent all day yesterday playing catch up and talking about our weekends. Last night was bath night and while mommy was getting my bath ready, daddy was doing everything possible to get me to laugh. Mommy got the camera out and started taking some video. She said after a long sad weekend, this was the best sound she could come home too!!

Boy's Weekend

This weekend it's just going to be daddy and me. Mommy has to leave today and fly to Texas for the funerals of her grandparents. They would have been my great-grandparents. I did not get a chance to meet them, but mommy says they saw pictures of me. Mommy says she is sad because this is the first time she will leave me, but she says I am in good hands!! I am sad because mommy gets to spend time with my Aunty Shell and my grandma and grandpa from Arizona. They are so much fun to talk to on the phone that I can't wait to see them! So this weekend daddy and I are going to hang out. Daddy says we will watch basketball and movies and eat whatever we want. I'm excited!!
