New Room

Over the weekend I said goodbye to my old room and hello to my new one!! Mommy said after doing many, many coats of paint on the dark blue wall in my room. ((She says don't ask, but she'll never do another dark color again.)) That the time had come for me to move in. I was much more willing to help mommy clear stuff out of my new room a few weeks ago, see previous posts...., but I wasn't so willing to help this time. But we got the job done and aside from being a little confused the first few days and going to the wrong door, I think I'm really going to like my new room!

Goodbye old room!!

Another picture from my old room.

Mommy and daddy moved this mattress into their room and I sure had fun jumping on it!!

I also had snack time on the mattress, this is why I didn't want to help!!

But in the end I did help carry all my books into my new room.

But not before trying to get daddy to read me one last book in my old room.

My new room!!!!!! ((Mommy doesn't have anything up on the walls yet. She says she wanted to wait a few days and make sure the furniture is going to stay where we put it.))

More of my room! I have a lot more room to play and mommy says soon my grandma will have curtains made for my windows but in the meantime I will have to settle for a towel and sheets.

And my old room is now another guest room.

Goodbye old room!

Oh the weather outside is....

Sunny!! So sunny and warm today that we decided to take a break from preparing my new room and play outside. I had a lot of fun and will say that there were a lot of tears shed by me when we had to go inside. But I had been out for a long time and I have to be happy about that! Mommy says that the weather can only get warmer and that ((hopefully)) soon we can start playing outside every day. Until then, I guess I'll take what I can get!

First I had to help shovel the sidewalk. My pumpkin bucket will work well to haul the snow away.

This is very hard work and requires a lot of attention.

Mommy took this one so everyone could see all the huge snow piles in our neighborhood. If you look closely, you can see me and daddy!

I love to be outside!!!

Next it was onto my sled. I don't like to be pulled in it, but I sure like to pull it around myself.

Um.....I don't think I'm ready to start climbing any mountains.

I really wanted to go for a walk, I even tried pushing the stroller myself but with the snow I didn't get too far.

Moving, Taping, Painting...

So a big change that's happening in my house right now is that I am moving into a new room! Mommy & daddy say that because I'm bigger ((and have bigger toys...)) that it's time to move me into my new big boy room. Mommy says this room was our catch all room so it's taken her and daddy a while to get it cleaned up. It started this past fall when mommy ordered blinds and had them installed and between birthday's and Christmas and then all of us getting the flu, moving into my room was put on hold. But now the process has begun and I'm having so much fun helping and now I always want to go play in "my room" as I call it. Mommy is finishing up painting and then it will soon be time to move in, and I can't wait!!!

First we had to clear the old room out, here I am putting daddy's books in a pile in our other bedroom.

Of course there's always time to play & jump on the bed.

Then we had to take the bedding off so mommy could move the bed.

Then onto my favorite part, taping. Mommy said it's important to tape the woodwork so we don't get paint on it. I was sure willing to help with this part.

"I think some more right here ought to do it."

This was the day I got to help paint, I was so excited I jumped right on mommy's painting ladder while I was still in my pj's!

Reaching high because I don't want to miss a spot.

"Hmmmm......a little more paint here I think."

All done!!! Do you think mommy will let me keep it this way? I'm not so sure....

Birthday Party

The second thing I had going on this weekend after the Hooked on Books thing, was my cousin's birthday party. She lives in the same town as grandma and papa so I got to spend time at their house before going to the party. ((My cousin Debbie said she was celebrating the 11th year of her turning 39. I'm not too good with math yet, but somehow I just didn't think that was possible.)) I had soooooooo much fun playing and running around with my cousins that I wasn't ready to go when we had to leave. I guess that just means we have to have more parties!!

Playing trucks with papa before the party. Yes, we're on the floor in grandma & papa's bedroom as that's where I wanted to play!

Now we're at my cousins, I really liked playing with these horses.

Here's who I had the most fun with, my cousin Logan who is only 6 months older than me. I let him check out my cars and trains.

An action shot of Debbie blowing out her candles.

Me and Logan sure had fun with the balloons.

Yea for parties!!!!
Happy Birthday Debbie!!!

Hooked on Books

This past weekend was sure busy for me so I'll have a lot to post about the next few days! It started on Saturday morning where mommy and daddy took me to something at our high school called Hooked on Books. Mommy says I seemed to be a good mood that morning, but for some reason when we got there I got very crabby and didn't want to do anything. We didn't stay long, but I still managed to walk away with two new books and a little toy. And like always, mommy managed to get a few pictures so here's what I did!

I managed to get over my crabbiness long enough to check out these animals. There was a frog and a turtle for me to look at!
"Hello turtle!!!"

I won this rubber duck while playing a fishing game and had to carry it around with me.

Daddy and me looking at books.

But I wanted to check out my own books, here's one about a kitty. Maybe it will tell me how I can get Rose to play with me more.

Doe, Ray, Me, Me, Me......

This past weekend I decided to break into song and sing for mommy and daddy. Mommy says she isn't sure what triggered this, other than that I hadn't seen my jump rope for a while and as soon as I saw it I started singing. I got really into it for a while and mommy says to watch out, because I might be on American Idol soon!!!! ((Well....maybe after some serious voice lessons....))
